A keen interest in visual zeitgeist phenomena and contemporary living and working conditions informs her work. Blending natural fibers and symmetrical shapes with a decisively urban and futuristic approach to surface and appearance, she creates environments and interiors that are equally inviting and sharp, welcoming and playfully challenging. Her designs address practical demands while speaking to an aesthetic that is always-already inspired by virtuality, by 3D and a reality that is infused with technology. Her living spaces are thinking spaces and vice versa, transcending the line between ideal and actual room. Influences of her Mexican heritage and upbringing can be found throughout her work, that has taken her from Germany to Switzerland and China. A boldness of colors and natural richness of textures adds an expressive and emotional brushstroke to her practice. The language of her work is clear and direct, a straightforward invitation to live life in all its complexity and joy within it.
